Promoting Agreena’s mission to scale sustainable farming across Europe

Agreena, the company powering the global transition to regenerative agriculture, appointed CommsCo PR in February 2025 to drive brand awareness and elevate its soil carbon programme in the UK and European media.

Operating in over 20 European countries and over 4.5 million hectares of arable land, Agreena partners with farmers to measure, verify, and monetise their transition to regenerative practices through the generation of soil carbon credits. As one of Europe’s best-funded agritech companies, Agreena is building the continent’s largest soil carbon programmes – creating new revenue streams for farmers while supporting corporates to meet climate goals through verified, nature-based carbon removals.

Raising the profile of regenerative agriculture

To kick off the collaboration, we leveraged Agreena’s farm walk programme – immersive, on-the-ground events connecting corporates with farmers – to bring regenerative agriculture to life for the media.

One such event at Oakley Farm, home to Thomas Gent (Founder of Gentle Farming and Regenerative Agriculture Lead at Agreena), was used as a springboard to engage The Guardian. The journalist joined the walk to experience the day-in-the-life of a regenerative farm and observe the tangible results of no-till, cover cropping, and soil health improvements. This was followed by an in-depth interview with Agreena CEO Simon Haldrup, culminating in a major feature in The Guardian.

The resulting piece spotlighted Agreena’s role in scaling soil carbon markets and presented regenerative agriculture as a powerful, practical solution to the climate crisis. It not only elevated Agreena’s visibility but also helped build credibility and trust in the wider regenerative movement – a key goal of the campaign.

Amplifying Agreena’s climate voice
