Navenio provides indoor location software to hospitals to improve patient care and make services more efficient. As a scale-up, it was looking to build PR from the ground up with very limited existing presence in the market. Ahead of securing Series A funding, Navenio wanted to make a splash in the technology and medical press, and chose CommsCo to help achieve that. We were briefed to put Navenio’s location tech ‘on the map’.

Mapping a route to success

We worked with Navenio’s visionary founders Tim Weil and Niki Trigoni to uncover the industry work they were doing which would be of interest to the media, but which was going unrecognised.

A large part of the initial brief was securing coverage for Navenio’s Series A funding announcement and this was achieved with aplomb, with write ups of Navenio’s £9m round in VentureBeat, New Statesman, UKTN and Silicon to name just a few.

We moved the conversation on from the nuts and bolts of infrastructure-free location tech (Navenio’s key product), onto the direct patient care benefits which the technology delivered. This ensured that Navenio became recognised for its ‘right person, right place, right time’ model.

Reaching our destination

  • Over the first six months, we drove a boom in media coverage, through traditional PR, executive interviews, and engaging with key industry figures to lend their backing to Navenio.
  • We raised the profile of Navenio’s executive team with in-depth comments and features across national, tech, and medical press.
  • We secured more than 50 tier one mentions for the Navenio brand within six months.
