James McCann-Ellerington

James works as a senior consultant helping across our entire account portfolio. Prior to this he ran the Adidas global football business for Hill + Knowlton and spent his formative years in tech PR at Brands2Life. Specialist subject: His well-rounded background is reflected in his ability to cover a variety of areas including traditional media relations and copywriting as well as brand content strategy and broader communications planning. Passions: A combination of the old school and new, James loves a traditional media pitch and landing a broadsheet feature as much as working on creating content to be used on influencer social channels. His passion areas include technology, especially cleantech, and sport. Other: He lives in Crystal Palace with Anna, his daughter Hudson and their two sphynx (bald) cats. He loves cricket, so is regularly tuned into TMS and hates Southern Rail, so irregularly comes into the office.

Ed joined CommsCo in 2017 and hasn’t looked back. Specialist subject: Content creation and relationship management. Passions: Crafting data into news, and separating the wheat from the chaff. Other: Outside of work, Ed is most likely to be found at a pub quiz, making a trip to the theatre, or watching cricket. He has yet to find an activity that combines all three.
Ryan Seller

Specialist Subject: Social Media – Ryan can be found scrolling through Twitter, Instagram and Facebook at all hours of the day (and night). Passions: As an English graduate, writing is unsurprisingly one of Ryan’s greatest passions — he runs his own blog focused around his passion for fashion and the arts. Creating content, from short and snappy tweets to longer and more in-depth blog posts, is what keeps him motivated in his role at CommsCo. Other: Ryan enjoys playing the piano to switch off. Having played since he was seven years old, he has passed his Grade 8 but now almost exclusively plays Adele covers — much to the annoyance of his housemate. He is also pretty keen on Gin and Tonics and McDonald’s burgers and can often found enjoying both at the same time.

As a former Kent girl, she also attempts to bring the countryside back to her West London home in the form of tending to a patio garden.

Specialist Subjects: Squirrel chasing, high jumps, dog-bum sniffing, target-peeing. Passions: Long walks in Bushy Park, swimming in the Thames, late mornings in front of a good film.
